Japanese PS3 Launch Downgraded
October 31st, 2006 by Matt Stone in Business
More bad news from Sony: Japan is getting only 80.000 PlayStation 3 consoles at launch, as opposed to the 100,000 Sony promised a few months ago. North America is still getting some 400,000 units, while a lot of Japanese gamers will certainly be disappointed with this. The PS3 launches in Japan in just under two weeks, while all available pre-orders have sold out in minutes.
The PlayStation 2 launched with a million units in 2000 in Japan, and still suffered shortages. It’s gonna be a though time for Japanese gamers; imagine the lines with hundreds of disparate gamers waiting for a PS3?

Look if everybody could just calm the fuck down and be patient, you will get your PS3. Don’t be such a dumb ass and camp out for it all day and night and buy it at launch. You know why? Becuase you are buying all the faulty systems. It might be awesome to have it at first but then it will show its defects just like the 360.
If you wait after this year, when all those fualty systems will be bought, just buy when it’s in stock. Besides everyone knows that there are a very few games at launch that are actually good. Resistence will end up as 360’s Perfect Dark.
