DailyTech has an exclusive preview of Nvidia’s upcoming DirectX 10 GPU, G80. The card will come in two variants, the 8800 GTX and the 8800 GTS, although this preview only covers the high-end version, the 8800 GTX. As you can see on the photo above, the card is physically the largest graphics card to ever hit the market.
DailyTech tested the card on an ultra high-end PC, powered by a quad-core Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 CPU. As you can see by looking at the results, the $500 card will be the most powerful on the market, once it’s released in two weeks. Test results after the jump.

1Impressive numbers, but I’m waiting for a cheaper version, probably the 8600 GT which should be released in the begining of 2007, exactly when Vista and DX10 come out.
