British Nintendo magazine NGamer reviewed two Wii launch games in the latest issue; Red Steel and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. Both game scored high ratings, 90% and 84%, respectively. NGamer said about the two games:
Red Steel, 90% – “This is an important title. So many launch titles falsely claim to be ‘pick up and play’. Newcomers can pick up and ‘do’, certainly, but this offers a proper playing experience. If you want to see what your Wii can really do, Red Steel is a slice above the rest. Not only making excellent use of the Wii’s controllers, this is huge fun in its own right. For a launch title to get so much right is an indicator of great things to come.

I wasn’t so sure about Red Steel either, but perhabs I’ll give it a try after all. The gameplay videos was everything but exciting, and the controls looked kinda middleaged. I hope it’s good, because then more good first person shooters will surely come to Wii

[...] Both reviews were sterling examples of how launch titles should be so if this is any example of what’s to come from the Wii…bring it on already!! Source: [DigitalBattle] [...]
