bvg.jpgNintendo is gaining more and more support from developers for their Wii console, most notably Ubisoft and EA. Now Buena Vista Games shows strong support for Nintendo’s consoles by opening a whole new studio, exclusively developing for Nintendo Wii and DS. Graham Hopper, senior vice president and general manager of Buena Vista Games said,

“This studio will be one of our centers of creative excellence and it gives us the ability to fully capitalize on our properties and expand our market share on Nintendo platforms”

The new, yet unnamed studio, will be placed in Salt Lake City, and will be using Disney’s characters and intellectual property to create games for the Wii and DS. Buena Vista is already the third largest GameBoy publisher in North America, and has released the DS versions of The Chronicles of Narnia, Chicken Little, and The Incredibles.
