Gears Of War Glitch Video

Even though Gears of War is probably the best Xbox360 game released to date, as the video above shows, no one is perfect. Apparently some players experienced a glitch when dying, where they’re still able to move (or slide along the ground) but without much else to do. Besides appreciating the great floor textures, of course.

Who cares … I mean is every site going to point out every glitch that game has now … we know it has some bugs … every game does no matter how much time they take … in gaming it is inevitable. I guess we’ll be seeing some of this for RFoM as well. Man that is so stupid.

Actually, I’ve noticed MORE bugs in this game than in most other next gen titles. MANY graphics cheats to get it to look good, and lots of other bugs too. Xbox lets the bug testing be the publishers job, Playstation tests every game before release in their own in-house testing labs and reports bugs that need to be fixed before release. That way they have a much better idea if the bugs were found/fixed before release. I think PS3 won’t have so many graphical and other issues.
BTW, has anyone else had a dead bad guy stuck to your shoe like toilet paper?? hilarious!

I agree, the game has quite a few noticeable glitches, more than any other 360 game I played so far. I’ve seen some enemies go through walls, and the game crashed and froze a few times on me. Never happened in other games.

Really I have yet to encounter any bugs … of course I am not that far so we’ll see.

It just hit me though … if there are that many bugs wouldn’t at least one of the reviewers of the game have caught them and wouldn’t that affect the rating (which is overall near 94%) … they must not be that big in terms of affecting gameplay, or am I wrong?

Well, there are very few bugs in the actual gameplay. Yes, I’ve been killed in gameplay because of duck’n cover glitches. There are some games where you can do ANYTHING you want, this game you have to play by the rules or you die. Also, play by the rules or you glitch. I’d say because it feels so real, they reviewers all just played by the rules.
Anuban: you don’t have to go that far to find bugs. Especially visual bugs, just as an example, as SOON as you start the game and you walk out of your cell, look through the far right window up at the buildings side. There is a section that is glitching out, going black, striped and back to textured. Seeing as how you can’t blow away walls, I’m surprised that is glitching.

Looks like a sick game but c’mon, GLITCHES- many at that??!! Oh well.. it would have taken far more than just one or two good games to get me to buy a 360 anyway.

Just my weird impression.. From the way he moves around slowly and close to the ground.

@Keli - like the PS/3 and Wii games won’t have some glitches … and yes some of them will be significant.

I don’t actually remember a 1st party Nintendo game having and major glitches. Or any really noticable glitches at all for that matter. Anyone know of any that I havn’t noticed?

there was i believe a star glitch in mario 64. i don’t have that glitch coming out of my cell and looking at a glitchy building. i think i’m lucky because when people complain about glitches over various games, i don’t get them. maybe a hardware thing? saint’s row didn’t even glitch up on me and they had a ton of game stopping glitches. well i did get the little graphical glitches but not the game stopping ones. but yeah saint’s row was a bad one, talk about unfinished.
