According to Valve’s Doug Lombardi, Half Life 2: Episode 2 is now scheduled for a summer 2007 release, instead of the original February 2007 release. Earlier this year Valve delayed the game from December to February, including the bundled games Team Fortress 2 and Portal.
In other news, several anticipated Xbox360 titles have also been delayed to summer 2007, including Too Human, Crackdown, Shadowrun and Forza Motorsport 2. This comes from Microsoft’s Peter Moore, who spoke to MTV recently.

1Come on Valve let’s have something ORIGINAL! How about a new game??? How long are you going to recycle HL2 material?

2I thought the whole point of Episodic content was that it was supposed to be an episode to play every 3-4 months … well that sure failed with a huge F. This game and SiN try to push that crap down our throat and then they can’t even deliver a four game on time. Man these devs just plain suck I don’t care what anyone says about how great Valve and their Source engine is. This is just L-A-M-E. Boo … I am officially done with SiN and HL now. My new mythos is Gears and the games to come and of course Halo 3. How the heck can a stupid episode take this long to deliver? Bah.

3*can’t even deliver a four HOUR game on time” is what I meant to say. Valve and Original … those two things just don’t go well together. They won’t ever stop recycling the same old stuff … but I was looking forward to it … if they could have delivered something on time for once.
