killzone box.jpgThe original Killzone was a highly anticipated title for the PlayStation 2, but failed to deliver. While Killzone Liberation for the PSP delivers great visuals and audio, it suffers the same drawbacks as its big brother did two years ago.

IGN (90/100) “It seems wherever Liberation can go the extra mile, it does. It delivers on all fronts, from a thoroughly engrossing single-player campaign to an addictive multiplayer component.”

GameSpot (83/100) “While the single-player campaign is ultimately too short and devoid of story, and the multiplayer suffers from the lack of infrastructure play, Killzone: Liberation is still an excellent and engaging shooter.”

1UP (50/100) “Instead of creating a wide variety of situations, the dev team relied on key-card hunts, escort missions, and (surprisingly pointless) vehicle-piloting sections ad nauseam.”

Game Informer (73/100) “The action in Liberation is good, and at times intense, but it still seems to lack that visceral experience I like to have with my action games, first person or otherwise.”
