Wii Train Simulator Controller
November 11th, 2006 Posted in News
Taito is making a new peripheral for the Wii, for their upcoming bullet train simulation game, Shinkansen (Japanese word for bullet train) 06. The controller looks very similar to the PlayStation 2 controller that was used for the game Densha de Go! Shinkansen: Sany

WTF! What kind of moron would create a game that would use that controller! I gotta a feeling that this is just the beginning of weird Wii peripherals.

Hehe yeah. It’ll probably be only one game that supports it.. Luckily.

If it works well and really adds value to the gaming pleasure then cool. If not then yeah what that guy said.

Isn’t the Wii designed to fit multiple unique gaming experiences? I see a bunch of buttons and two levers, this should just be the nunchuk and the wiimote, and you move them back and forth. I guess I shoudln’t really care though, the game will probably suck anyway.

Itll never make it over here. I remember a Sega train driving game on the dreamcast when i used to be a journo for ODM. The japs love train driving games, i dont think the idea of imitating one of London Underground’s finest would appeal so much to us in Europe

Tell me the big idea in a train simulator. I mean, there’s two directions to choose, and thats it. Or am I missing something?

You have to remember that, while you’re not interested in this, some people are.
