Xbox 360 For $100?

November 11th, 2006 Posted in Business

TechCrunch reports that Amazon may be selling the Xbox 360 core system for only $100. The price change is apart of a new promotional move for the holiday season. This is a huge markdown, considering that the core system is $299.99. The holiday package will include the Xbox 360 core system, and maybe other accessories to go with it.

If you ask me, this deal is ridiculous, something along the lines of a Black Friday deal. Details are very sparse at the moment, so the deal isn’t very clear, nor official by any means.

Xbox 360 for $100 my ass. Yeah right! You really think Microsoft wants to sell it’s next gen console their losing money on less than a PS2 and Xbox? Ha! Don’t make me laugh! This is just a bullshit rumor.

That deal would be pretty sweet though.

It says it’s just the core system, and if I’m gonna buy the 360, I’m not getting any stupid core system, I’m gonna go all out. That being said, this could be good for a temporary promotion or something, but I don’t see this happening. Only console I’m concerned about getting right now is the Wii. 8 more days!

IF, on the extremely oft chance this rumor happens to be true, even for one day, I’ll take it! A console for $100? Heck yes I’ll take it.

I’m not getting my hopes up because the odds of this ridiculous rumor being true is as close to zero as you can get.

    The 20GB hard drive costs $100 … so c’mon don’t be fooled.

yeah sounds pretty unlikely, but would be an excellent deal considering you could probably return it to a different store unopened for a store credit of $299.99

  6. Ryan Says:

dominant: sounds good, always down for sticking it to the man (bill gates, that is)

  7. Anuban Says:

Why would anyone want to stick it to a man who is responsible for 90% of the world’s polio vaccinations being delivered to children? At any rate I definitely admire Bill Gates … what he has done in the last 25 years is remarkable.
