1Hmm, no PS3 or Wii games at all? And GoW just got out, strange that it’s included but none of the closest competitors…

2They aren’t out yet. That’s not a bad thing though, at least now that Twilight Princess isn’t a nominee it gives other games a shot at game of the year.

3How can you nominate something that wasn’t released at the time the nominations were announced. Whose fault is that? Like Sony and Wii didn’t know when the VG awards were … c’mon man make some sense.
My Predictions (pretty easy too see this year’s winners honestly)
GOTY: Gears … surprise
Best Graphics: OH wow .. Gears again … how shocking
Best Shooter: Could it be .. yep Gears for the triple play
Best Action Game: Though this should go to Dead Rising it will probably go to that whack piece of garbage Saints Row (how I hate games like that … but that is a personal thing)
Best Team Sports: Given that measly list it can only be NBA 2K7
Best Fighting Game: Should be DOA4 tbh but this is one area that could go any way at all.
What I don’t get is how the hell did HL2:EP1 even get nominated … a 3-4 hour piece of repititive, been there done that before crap going up against fully fleshed out Shooters?! That’s utterly RIDICULOUS … Ohhh I can’t stand Valve.

7THIS IS BULL SHIT! IF GEARS IS UP THERE THEN WHERE THE HELL IS FINAL FANTASY 12 OR ZELDA!? This is like a 360 video game award show. Gears shouldn’t even be up there since it has launch momentum and hype. It should be up there for the next one.

8Ah now you are catching on and seeing the light. They may be trying to use some artificially imposed release deadline to ensure that Gears meets with little to no substantial competition.

10I hope you are correct but sadly I don’t even think there is snowball’s chance in hell Zelda will get GOTY over Gears when all is said and done.
