PS3 Campers Removed From Best Buy

November 12th, 2006 Posted in Articles, Business by Kevin Cortez

A few days ago, we reported that there were people lining up at Best Buy, waiting for their PS3s to come out…over a week in advance. Well, it turns out, some campers have been removed from a Burbank Best Buy, forcefully.

Some of Kotaku’s staff paid a visit to their local Best Buy and had a talk with some workers at the store. Apparently, there were 20 campers outside of the store, until they had to be run off by the police. The campers wouldn’t leave when the employees, manager, and regional manager asked them to, so they had to be forced off the property by the cops.

The Best Buy store wasn’t even a midnight launch store, so the campers would have been there until the store opened up at its regular time.
