Army Of Two Trailer

November 13th, 2006 by Colin Newcomer in News

Army of TwoToday, EA has released the very first trailer for their upcoming game, Army of Two. Army of Two is a third person shooter that, as the name implies, focuses on coop missions over the standard single hero.

Don’t be surprised if the trailer generates a lot of heat, as the Executive Producer of Army of Two is the same EA Montreal Developer who criticized Gears of War for not bringing anything in terms of innovation.

Man I hate EA more than anyone and I was really taken back by that loudmouthed exec … BUT … HOT DAMN! If that is actual in game footage and not pre-rendered then Gears has been dethrowned as the BEST looking game around. Even the gameplay and dialogue between the two looks more FUN that Gears. Damn it .. Well one thing … it is EA so people can expect a boatload of bugs when this game ships … and that may help Gears maintain it’s status as best of the next-gen games.

Is that really ingame footage? BTW, that comment about originality really fell hard on the floor. The day EA gets innovative the pope will star in porno movies

To be hones, I don’t really think that looks better than Gears of War. It looks great, but the textures aren’t really hi-res, and the frame rate dorps quite a lot from times to times

  4. Kaiser Soze Says:

But the body motion and gravity looks very real

Well remember this isn’t ready for release yet … when Gears was first being shown those same kinds of issues came up. Hey KS where have you been hiding? Anyway everyone is entitled to their opinion but it also depends on if you want a more Superreaslism look or a graphic artists interpretation of reality (it looks real but it has an air of the unreal about it).
