Gears of War Patch Soon
November 13th, 2006 by Steve Reddish in News
Epic Games’ Ray Davis, Lead Producer of the recently released Gears of War, has announced that there is already a patch in works to fix some multiplayer connection issues that some gamers are currently having. This also leads to concern from many inside the gaming industry, on why these issues could not be fixed before the game had shipped. Perhaps someone needed to launch before the PS3? Just a thought.
Some of the reported issues include player disappearing, AI problems, and camera freezing at certain angles (video here).

I am really glad to hear that … let’s face it after all this hype, all the waiting and all the time they had (after moving the release date twice) this is pretty unacceptable so it is good to see them moving quickly to address the issues. This is also the reason why, as much I like this game, it didn’t deserve any of the perfect 10 scores it initially recieved.

Looks like Gears will be getting REAL competition from the most unlikely source … EA. OUCH.
