Toys “R” Us Pre-Order Scams
Kotaku has reported a couple of Toys “R” Us scams involving the pre-ordering of the Wii. The store chains in Canada and Australia are telling little half truths about their pre-order deals.
There was a pre-order deal in Canada where Wii pre-orders included a controller and game with the console, for the price of $280. Toys “R” Us has pulled this deal, and replaced it with just the Wii console, and the with the remaining $280 price tag.
The next deal isn’t as grimy as the Canadian one, but it still leaves a few unsatisfied with their pre-order purchase. In Australia, Toys “R” Us had Wii posters that read “Pre-order for your FREE GAME.” The company never said what the game was. Now when Australian gamers pick of their Wii and expect a copy of something like Red Steel or Rayman Raving Rabbits, they will be disappointed, for the game that they will be getting for free is… Open Season. Toys “R” Us looks as though they’re aiming to make a few gamers out there angry.

Well I don’t making gamers angry … you have to remember this is the Wii afterall and lots say it again with me LOTS of parents will be purchasing this for their kids who probably liked the movie so they will enjoy the game.
When did people get so cynical and so hung on receiving free goods … that crazy. You can trade it in if you want … man people in this world are really becoming unreasonably emotional about this issue. You want a game just buy it … stop looking for free handouts people. The thing is only $250 compared to the other consoles on the market … and aren’t their titles ten bucks cheaper? Dear Lord help us to help eachother … especially at this time of year … it is horrible enough already round these here parts.

“Well I don’t understand this is making gamers angry” is what I meant to start with.

True but these people atleast should be happy to get a Wii for X-mas. I’m still deciding what new console should I get.

Me too … I don’t know what to do actually … I kind of admit the human part of me has taken over and I want to be part of another system launch, but maybe I’ll just get the HD-DVD add on that is now available for the 360 and next year when they do release a larger HD get that as well. Hmmm … if only I was someone important I wouldn’t have these problems.

Choices! Oh we make choices! Oh we make lots and lots of choices!
Ha! I’m not getting suckered in a launch again! I’m not experiencing that again with my disc read error PS2. My friend Nitro Killa got a 360 at launch and those three rings of death showed up soon with purchase.

Well I got lucky with my launch 360 premium .. I haven’t had any problems with it thus far and I do my fair share of console gaming. But yeah I will probably just watch from afar … and sigh.
