Superman Returns Demo Goes Live
November 16th, 2006 by Colin Newcomer in News
Today, the demo for Superman Returns has been released on Xbox Live. Superman Returns is developed by Tiburon, the guys behind a little game you might have heard of called Madden. The demo is approximately 1GB and is restricted to Xbox Live Gold Members only, Silver Members will have to wait for the games release on November 22nd.
Superman Returns is, as the title suggests, based on the classic Superman comics by DC Comics. The game takes place in the sprawling city of Metropolis and will have gamers protecting the city from a plethora of classic Superman villains.

Well as much as I hate to admit it since I am a raging HULK fan and I don’t like EA (you all know that huh) the demo for the game is actually fun. And while the graphics don’t at first overwhelm you … they aren’t bad and the sheer scope of the city is really astonishing. Maybe if the bugs are low (HA fat chance) this game won’t be too bad … I think it will actually do pretty well, At least until Crackdown comes out. So this may be a rental or a purchase with the plan of trading it in for Crackdown. Personally though I can’t wait for the next Hulk game … next-gen style.

its DC not Marvel. made me lol in real life… lets just hope this game isnt like the N64 superman… which proudly made the #1 worst game of all time on MTV’s gamer’s week’s list!

I know its DC … I’ve been reading comics for over 30 years. What gave you the impression I didn’t? Because I mentioned I was a Hulk fan?
Anyway the demo is fun if not that refined, and the way they implemented how superman fails is interesting since in this game he can’t be killed it is the city that suffers the damage and if it too much damage occurs you fail.

Anuban, he was talking about the mistake in the actual article. It’s fixed now.
My question is: Why wasn’t this game released when the actual movie was released in theaters? Pretty lame that it wasn’t…
Oh, and to be honest, I had a real kick out of playing Superman 64. I knew it was terrible, but I think that’s why I enjoyed it.

Oh sorry I couldn’t tell and he did post right after I did so I made a bad assumption oops.
Well they are going to release the game around the same time as the movie goes to DVD just in time for the Holiday season so that plus the fact they said it just wasn’t polished enough are the reasons.
