According to IGN, the magazine “PC Gamer” announced on page 28 of its holiday 2006 edition that Gears of War was coming to the PC. Gears of War was photographed alongside other PC games on a display stand.
From the IGN article:
“The article in PC Gamer discusses the future of Windows Vista and Microsoft’s efforts to support the new OS with high-profile games.”
Another “high-profile” game is Halo 2, which will be exclusive for Windows Vista once it’s released in 2007. Gears of War on the other hand, is well on it’s way to sell one million copies for the Xbox360, and a PC release could probably see similar sales. As usual, Microsoft would not comment about the article in “PC Gamer.”

1This rumor started a couple of weeks ago already,
when Microsoft Switzerland accidentally leaked it.
The title is “known” to be be available during winter 07,
in order to promote Vista as a gaming platform.

2Well I have to admit that I thought we 360 console owners would have this as an exclusive title for at least a couple of years but man looks like by next Christmas this will be available for the hardcore PC crowd. Good news for the PC crowd.
