A 17-year-old was robbed of his PlayStation 3 at gunpoint today at a mall. The robber opened the car door and stole the console out of the boy’s hands. When will the violence end? I can understand that PS3s are at high demand, but to threaten someone’s life with a gun is out of the question.
This isn’t the first time that an incident like this has happened. There was a riot at a Wal-Mart in California, and a person was shot in while waiting in line for a PS3. This isn’t exactly the publicity Sony wants for its new console, or perhaps, in a strange Sony-way, they see it as a good sign (”the PS3 is so popular, people would kill for it”).
