Reggie.jpgThat ambitious Reggie Fils-Aime, the American president of Nintendo, has set a very high goal for the Wii. He has revealed that he expects to land 1 million Wiis in the hands of North American consumers in the upcoming 2-3 weeks. He goes on to say that they hope to sell another million by the second week of January.

He added that he expects the console life cycle for the Wii to be 5-6 years, which he feels is “just about right”. He also later states that they are not including a DVD player, as they feel that people already have at least one in their home by now, he ties this in with talks about how Nintendo made the Wii to maximize profits, in comparison to the other manufacturers who are taking losses on their consoles.
