
There has been severe shortages of Wii component cables (sold separately) for people wanting 480p, or to use the Wii on their HDTV set. GameSpot went and compared the standard composite cable versus the component output, and the difference is noticeable. In general, the component image is sharper, resulting in better details and textures. Check out the GameSpot page for comparisons on several Wii games, including Zelda and Excite Truck.
