Girl Gamer Magazine In Germany

November 25th, 2006 Posted in Articles, Business by Darren Stevens

joy.jpgGerman media company Computec Media AG will be launching the first girl-oriented game magazine, specifically writing about games and gaming culture that have a large female base. Games like The Sims 2, where 60 percent of players are female, not to mention all the casual games out there. The publisher describes the magazine, called Game Vanilla, as “fresh, bold, upbeat, and feminine”, with the first issue being a supplement to another women’s magazine, Joy. The real version will be in stores next March.
