EA Launches Specialized Wii Studio
December 1st, 2006 Posted in Business
In an announcement today, EA revealed the formation of a new studio that will focus on developing games for the Nintendo Wii. The studio is the recently purchased by EA “Headgate Studios”, the guys responsible for the Tiger Woods games, which will now be renamed EA Salt Lake.
There are currently no concrete titles that are being developed by EA Salt Lake. However, it wouldn’t be surprising if we saw a Tiger Woods game from them debuting on the Wii sometime in 2007. EA now challenges Ubisoft as the no. 1 third party Wii developer, who will release 6-7 titles for the console this year.
