1hmm, the new generation of games are taking longer and longer to make, even more so than movies, could this mean an increase in price for games?

2Aww man … that is a shame since I was really looking forward to this title but now I have plenty of time to upgrade my PC to a quad based cpu/gpu system. One thing is for sure … this is going to be the most amazing game ever made. I am confident it will surpass even the mighty Crysis. Still there are plenty of great titles coming to the 360 and the Wii and even some great PC titles (UT2K7 anyone? ) coming so no problem really.

4Yeah I go see my advisor today at DeVrys where I live to enroll in their Game Development design and Simulation program to begin in late January. You know what they say … It’s never to late to teach an old dog new tricks and with my experience in programming and leading the HaloUT mod I feel really good about really committing to become a part of this industry.
Besides going back to school at my age is going to fun … I am more focused than I have been at any point in my life.

6Well I love all parts … I was a system engineer, network engineer, QA Engineer and programmer before so I love all the technical nuts and bolt stuff as well as the creative process … being a write of fiction and prose that is always assume. I guess my goal is to get a team of 20 dedicated individuals (like I had when we did the haloUT mod) and create something totally original and just amazing in every way.
The only stuff I know I just can’t do because of the expertise it takes is the 3D modeling and level creation. So really the design, story, programming and leading the team in the right direction is what I am looking at. Sort of like CliffyB’s role as Lead designer of Gears … only with programming thrown in.

8movies dont take 4-6 months they take actually 2 months to film, and a month to do special fxs.I know this cuz my mom is in the film business like she did lonely hearts and that was like a 1 and 1/2 ago.ANd her bf brother did spider man where he had to go to LA and shoot the movie it took 2 months to film just te actor and 6 months for puter graphics.BUt nah gamez cant ever ever cost more than 50-60 dollars.PLus ill just dl it if it cost that much.20 million isnt that bad u know?a good title averages like 2-5 million ppl buying where suprb titles get more money like doom sold over like 70 million copies maybe im not sure i know doom3 and doom2 both sold 44 million together and i know final and doom95 sold alot.so 44×50 is what?968,000,000 million dollars
so take 5 mill 250 million dollars.

9“being a write of fiction and prose that is always assume.”
That didn’t make much sense … I meant to say … Being a writer of fiction and experimental prose poetry that is always looking for a great story to tell and the chance to use my imagination to craft worlds never before imagined.
There … sounds much better now. Hmmm … don’t know what happened the first time around.

10I’m sorry guys, but making movies are taking much more time than just a couple of months, when we are talking big scale movies. For instance, Lord of the rings, picking the most extreme one, took 15 months to shoot. Ad to that the extra scenes they shot for Two Towers and Return of the King and you end up on 1½ year. Matrix 2 & 3 also took more than a year to film. Most big action movies takes more than only 2 months to shoot. 4 months are not unusal. Ad to that the enormous pre-production work, and all the CGI effects which a lot of movies requires now a days. Big budget movies can take up to two to three years to make, and cost up to 150 million $.
