Wiimote Used On Windows XP

Since the Nintendo Wii controller uses Bluetooth, some coders have figured out how to use it with Windows XP. The program to use the Wiimote on your PC is called GlovePIE , and can be downloaded here. Although a BlueTooth adapter is required.

Sounds interesting … yet another cool thing to look into … hopefully some gaming company will take a closer look at this and develop a PC game that can take advantage of the Wii controller.

Yeah hopefully. There may be some legal problems though. And the program needs to be a little more intuative than this video shows, it seems sluggish and to not use the wiimote to it’s full potential.

Hmmm, this could be more important to Wii than PC, if you reverse this so the PC is transmiting blue tooth, then this opens up all the PC controllers for the Wii… mice, game pads, xbox, ps2, steering wheels etc.
