it would be cool if they showed it properly and in a the U.K, as for the violence, i still don’t understand what goes on in their mind when they look at games and other programs on tv. if the content isn’t right for the time of day, how about putting it on later.

This is good news … now people really have something to shoot for if they want to become pro gamers. Cool cool cool. To bad they can’t show the gameplay … especially since it is just games we are talking about and not real actors playing violent parts. But heck these days I will take what I can get.

Very good news of video gaming in general. We are really now breaking out and becoming more mainstream. However, to say that video games is a sport is just taking it 2 far.

Isn’t chess considered a sport? And golf … and billards … so to me it is not that big of a stretch … but I respect your right to feel otherwise. You do need quick as lightning reflexes and a sharp mind if you are going to be at that level though.

I wouldn’t say it has gone too far. Those people that play @ the VGWC are professionals. When you get on level with the pros you end up with corperate sponsors and huge pots in some of those major tourneys. I think at the point where it stops being a hobby and turns into a job and there is competition at this level it earns the right to be called a sport like any other. Bout time the mainstream media recognized this.
