Pro Gamers To Be Drug Tested
The Cyberathlete Professional League will be drug testing pro gamers participating in the 2007 season of CPL. According to CPL founder Angel Munoz, there are drugs on the market that could give gamers an advantage. He says,
“The potential for [drugs] being an issue absolutely concerns me. It should concern anybody in eSports, because as the stakes get larger, as in any sport, people will look for an edge.”
According to TwitchGuru, the “edge” could be methamphetamine and prescription drugs such as Ritalin in order to increase their reflexes. I’ve never heard of any gamer with increased reflexes on drugs, but a lot of flying hippos and colorful pyramids.
CPL will not be randomly testing pro gamers, but reserves the right to do so in case they suspect someone. Caffeine drinks like Red Bull and Rockstar will still be available, although a lot of gamers have actaully complained, saying a lot of caffeine does give an advantage.

lmfao they know that most gamers are stoners , I know alot of people that come home from work relax roll up a little medicine or pack a bowl how ever ya do lol drink a beer then put in a game , but there are some people that dont. I would say at least %70 or gamers smoke cabbage or drink a beer . thats the first time I heard of the other stuff though (above) wow It would make sense ,if someone is hyper than thats a problem.

I believe that they are right lol, I smoke weed to slow time down before playing battlefield, I become relaxed focused, and warm. These 3 minimums give a player an edge, as I’m sure other people do their drugs before playing games. Another couple of edges I am given is the ability think 50% louder. Of course if your thought is amplified your instinct is amplified. Come on if drugs can make you better in the physical world like Barry Bonds and Arnold Terminator, of course you will have a mental edge. Thats why were given strange drugs, to make the perfect soldier. Drugs are just to make people calm down, for what?
