More Analyst Reports
December 7th, 2006 by Colin Newcomer in Business
Yesterday Arcadia Investment released their report on console gaming, claiming that 3.2 million consoles were sold in November. Today a report from Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter suggests that this November sales were up 12%, as opposed to Arcadia’s 50% prediction.
Another analyst, Lazard Capital Markets’ Colin Sebastian, also made an estimate, saying game sales were up 10-15% compared to last year. Sebastian also mentioned that he believes the ratio of Wii and PS3 games sold will be relatively equal when compared with the number of consoles sold.
So many predictions may be a bit confusing, but we’ll see who’s right tomorrow when the NPD Group releases the official statistics.
