Nintendo Fixes Wiimote Strap
December 9th, 2006 by Colin Newcomer in NewsDue to numerous complaints and accidents, it appears Nintendo has upgraded the strap on the Wiimote to decrease the chance of it snapping. In the picture, you can clearly see a difference between the thickness of the two straps. Hopefully this new upgrade actually works and people will stop breaking their TVs in fits of excitement.

DIY: Try replacing your Wiimote strap with titanium threaded wire.

Won’t that void the warranty though … I won’t do that if that is the case. Plus the new strap looks really sturdy.

I’ve got an even better idea.. sell the Wii with a bat in the form of a bundle package. now people can just break their furniture before gaming.
