58% Of Parents Games With Their Kids

In a recent article by Reuters, they looked over a survey suggesting that over half of parents play video games with their kids. From the article,
“An online survey of 1,014 U.S. children and their parents, conducted by market researcher Harrison Group — and commissioned by U.S. game publisher Activision — found 58 percent of parents surveyed said they play video games and more than half this time is spent with their children.”
As well as the above statistic, the survey also discovered that 74% are comfortable with games in the home and familiar with the ESRB rating system. There are some criticizers of the story, as David Walsh, president of the National Institute on Media and the Family, says the poll doesn’t represent the average parent because online polls are more likely to be completed by tech savvy adults, who are more likely to play video games.
