gwbox.jpgArenaNet has announced that their MMORPG Guild Wars has sold over 3 million copies. The free MMO Guild Wars and the two expansion packs, Factions and Nightfall were all published by NCSoft, and have successfully challenged World of Warcraft in the MMO arena. Although there’s still quite a way up to WoW, which at present has more than 8 million subscribers.

ArenaNet celebrates the milestone with a series of holiday activities starting Dec. 20, including special quests, PvP fights, new items and more.
