Just Blame Videogames

December 13th, 2006 Posted in News by George Lester-Pearson

1-football_ball.jpgIf there is a problem in society, then it seems increasingly likely that video games will take some of the blame. An article published by Reuters suggests that video games are part of the reason for the lack of young British soccer (football) talent.

“When we all grew up, we didn’t have PlayStation, or PS2 or 24-hour TV….so we played football (soccer). If my son played football (soccer) as much as he does with his PlayStation, he’d be a better player if ’s a fact of life.”

Whether you agree with this or not is up to you, but it seems about as far fetched as blaming video games for the common cold.
