Police Officer Not Charged For PS3 Shooting

December 13th, 2006 Posted in Articles, Business

You may have read the article a week or so ago about a police officer who shot and killed suspected PS3 thief Peyton Strickland. Today, new information has been released in the case. Christopher Long, the officer who fired the shots, was indicted on charges of second degree murder, however, after the jury convened, they decided the charges should be dropped. It appears as if the only punishment Long will face is the loss of his job.

It has also been released that Strickland, the victim, was unarmed at the time of the shooting. The only possible cause for believing him to be armed was the PS3 Sixaxis controller he was holding.

Wow … another jury bows down to the police. I guess they will just keep on killing unarmed people for as long as they want to in this society. I hope he at least loses his job … damn blue wall of silence. Focking pigs. That they are a necessary evil sickens me to no end.
