ghost06_logo.jpgOn September 17th in Philadelphia, Anwar Salahuddin was playing Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter on his Xbox 360. His daughter, 17 month-old Alayiah, was in the room with him, to let her mother rest. She had allegedly pulled the power cord of the 360, knocking the console down. The father then beat his daughter to death. At his trial yesterday, he said the following.

“She pulled the cord and the whole game console fell over,” Spellman said in his statement, read by Homicide Detective John Cummings. “I thought it was broken. I popped her in the face. I picked her up and tossed her in a chair.”

Alayiah was later pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital. This isn’t the first time a death over video games has occurred. It appears to be hard to at least keep the violence in the games.
