Reggie Wants GTA On Wii

December 15th, 2006 Posted in News

gta-logo-200.jpgIn an interview with an American TV-station, Reggie has given out some rather interesting information. The President of Nintendo of America has said Nintendo has tried talking to Take-Two Interactive Software. They have been begging persuading them to publish a Grand Theft Auto game on the Wii. Now, it’s all up to them if they want to make the move. The possibilities for a game like that are endless with the Wiimote.

The only past Rockstar game on any Nintendo system was on the Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Color. The reasons might be that Nintendo has received a “kiddy” image over the years. Although, the vision of Nintendo has been drastically changing the past year.

I don’t think so. nintendo is popular for T & E-rated games. i think that they should leave the M-rated stuff to the big boys- like the 360 and the PS3.. or the PS2 even. can you imagine an M-rated Mario game? lol..

Well, first of all it was Nintendo who approached Take-Two, not the other way around. So this means that Nintendo want’s to remove it’s “kiddy” title. Secondly this is completely different from a Mario game. Honestly saying that Nintendo wouldn’t get mature games because of Mario is like saying that Microsoft wouldn’t get any games lower than teen because of Halo.

Reggie mentioned this a while back. I think it would be interesting to see a GTA on Wii. I hope it works out.

The only way it would work would be if it were 1:1.
