Tailsmoon Evolve has announced that they will be shipping new replaceable Wii shells/cases. There will be multiple colors in the line, one being ‘Black Katana’ (see picture). You can expect them to start shipping in January, although a price hasn’t been set yet. Now, we’ll all be able to have the E3 style Revolution, and not the Apple style Wii.
However, the shell replacements do require you to open up your Wii, which of course voids the warranty. At the Tokyo Game Show 2005, where Iwata gave his keynote, there were a wide array of Wii colors. But as usual, we’ve heard nothing since about the colorful Wiis.

1… Does color really matter? Isn’t it what is in side that counts?.. Oh wait, are we talking about racism? No? Oh well in that case:
I reeeeally wanted the silver one.

2Well since you can buy cool decal sets for these similar to the ones for the Xbox 360 I don’t really see a huge need for these … but to each his own. I’d rather wait and see if after the holidays Nintendo officially announces they will start shipping Colorful Wiis … of course they may just wait to unleash those next Holiday season along with Mario so they can challenge the other two next-gen systems.
Here is a link to where you can get Wii skins … the one called Balance is really cool and probably the one I will go with once I get my Wii next year.

3You know I was going to wait for an official announcement about a color black Wii but really after going back through and seeing that there are over 100 different skin packs available I think I will just pass on that … I’ll probably buy that Balance one and another one called Cobalt Nexus … but wow look through that amazing collection and I am sure everyone would find one they like.
