After they butchered Halo and made it unplayable for PCs of that time … the fps was a joke with things turned up high and even now on high end systems you can tell the engine is garbage … I seriously doubt their ability to do a solid job with this new IP they have been give. But time will tell I suppose. Time once again to adopt the “wait and see” attitude.

Halo for PC sucked and was way too late. The same thing will happen for Halo 2 when it comes out next year. It gonna be a flop because MS makes it their Vista PR title, nothing more.

    (waiting for Crysis/UT2007)

I will get a lot of flak for this one: but I didnt like halo on the xbox even. And I’m not one of those mongrels who hates any game on a console he doesnt own. (would be impossible with all these cross-platform titles nowadays)

But yeah, the pc version was REALLY bad. It could have been a good pc title though, it was promising what bungee had in mind, before MS bought them.

Jim2k I can’t agree with you about Halo 2 on Vista as it will add HDR as well as support higher levels of AA and AF and improved textures and some dynamic lighting and it will very well thanks to DX10 … they may even through in a little something special.

You really can’t compare what it will be to the butcher job that Gearbox did with Halo PC. I look forward to Halo 2 on Vista and I have already played through it on the Xbox a few times.
