I am relaxed ... I was just letting you know it doesn't use the UE3, nothing more nothing less. :)

Yeah, alright, relax man. So it doesn't use the engine. I still think it looks worse than Gears/GRWA/R6V. But maybe that's because of my SD TV (and Capcom is known for not supporting "old" TV's correctly)

The information has been provided ... from the developers own mouth ... that person Jun Takeuchi says it all. You could also do as I always do and do a google on Lost Planet game engine if you need even more verification. You are wrong ... there is no 'might' about it.

Jim2K Capcom does NOT use the UE3 for Lost Planet ... I actually do not believe they use it for any game. Where did you get that impression? The game is awesome imho and blows away Gears without question ... once again we have very different opinions. That's cool though.

About the engine ... get your facts straight in the future before you start passing incorrect info.

"Xbox Gazette : Can you talk a little bit about the engine you use for the game ? Is it the same one used in Dead Rising and do you plan to reutilize it in other games, like Resident Evil 5 ?
Jun Takeuchi : Yes, we are using the same engine that was created for Dead Rising and we are very pleased with what we have achieved given that these are our first two titles for the Xbox 360. As for Resident Evil 5, we do plan to use the same engine, but will be making a number of changes - you could say we will be tuning it to run like a GT car."

From the moment I played the demo I knew I had to have this game. Something about it was just frakin cool, I mean, who wouldn't like to fight bugs on an ice planet

I didn't like either demo, the controlls were like crap and the visuals were not impressive at all, despite using the UE3 engine. The explosions look ok, but that pretty much all.
