There have been several rumors in the past few months about Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, and whether or not it will be PlayStation 3 exclusive. Konami has once again debunked all of these rumors by sending out a statement that basically read “Konami has no plans to bring Metal Gear Solid 4 to the Xbox 360 at this time.”
The rumors started when internet reports were pointing out that Konami was concerned about the amount of PlayStation 3s being sold by the time the actual game hits store shelves. Konami has ported a Metal Gear Solid game to the Xbox in the past, so hopefully this doesn’t mean that there we’ll never see Metal Gear Solid 4 on the Xbox 360.

1I don’t see why they wouldn’t do this. I mean, there are quite a few people who would love to have this on the Xbox; and why not make a tremendous amount of people happy Konami? This whole fanboy hoopla drives me nuts, all games should come out cross console when they are at the calibur of Kojima Productions. I know I will eventually get a PS3 and play this game anyway, or borrow it from a friend like I am doing with ‘Portable Ops’. This might be a great move for Konami, maybe not SONY, but gaming everywhere for sure!

3this is definitely one game i’d like to see come over to the 360. i mean, almost all of them have been great games, but if they think that i’m going to run out and buy a PS3 just to play this game they are dead wrong.

4to tell you the truth, i never understood this concept behind developers entering these exclusive contracts. you would think that the more demand you have, the better right? But on another note, it’s games like this that seem to raise the value of a console. Every Metal Gear installment that i’ve played has been nothing short of a F’N awsome gaming experience! It’s one of those games that you’d have to play to really understand why Metal Gear is so big. We’re talking intense story lines, incredible graphics, and suspense that’ll cause your hands to secrete a rare natural chemical that bonds your palms to the controller. Then again, this is a Hideo Kojima production we’re talking about. fortunately, Mr. Kojima values his loyalty to Sony over the dirty money that he’d generate by selling to Microsoft and Nintendo(lol @ my fanboyism). Therefore, it’s simple:
WANNA PLAY METAL GEAR SOLID 4? BUY A PS3!!

5I hope they keep it to themselves so they don’t give PS3 users a reason to complain about not having a shot in hell of ever seeing Halo 3 or any other Halo game on that platform. If I wanted to play this game I would do as KJ suggested and buy a PS3 … so please … I’ll pass on this.

6If EA was releasing the game you would see it on all systems and mobile phones. There probably would have been an ad-suported flash-based games for web browsers
But I do hope we see MGS4 on the 360, good games should be ported correctly and released on as many ssytems as possible.
