Nintendo: Wii Strap Lawsuit Is Without “Merit”

Nintendo have spoken out about the recent lawsuit caused by supposedly faulty Wii straps. The law suit filed on the 6th December claims that the wrist strap is ineffective for use and a breach of Nintendo’s warranty. Nintendo says that they find it to be “completely without merit”, since the Wiimote has passed all safety tests. Nintendo already promised earlier to look into the problem, and it has been noted that the new Wiis are shipping with thicker straps.
“At the time we became aware of the lawsuit, we had already taken appropriate steps to reinforce with consumers the proper use of the Wii Remote and had made stronger replacement wrist straps available. This suit has had no effect on those efforts,”

Lots of companies and individuals who are being sued claim the same thing … and they LOSE. So once again a company that I like for the most part sounds idiotic. Just get your lawyers and go fight in court if you are so certain you will win Nintendo. The outcome will speak for itself. If it really is completely without merit a judge will just throw the case out. So shut up already and get to work on better games and the different colors for the Wii.
