Frag Dolls Win CPL Tournament
Female gamers are definitely finding their form and starting to display skills which are equal and in some instances greater than those of their male counterparts. The all woman team known as the Frag Dolls became presumably the first team of women to ever win a major co-ed gaming tournament by beating the No. 1 rated and previously undefeated clan known as Team Complete.
Last week in Dallas, Texas, at an event sponsored by Ubisoft, the Frag Dolls efficiently kicked the butts of their male opponents in the CPL’s Rainbow Six Vegas tournament as part of their Winter Championships. The victory is a pleasant one as it is always good to see exceptionally gifted female gamers join in the gaming world. Some people, however, are calling the win a sham since the Frag Dolls are sponsored by Ubisoft. These are the same people who have probably played, and lost to some of the Frag Dolls’ members.

Even though I personally think the Frag Dolls are a marketing tool and are a joke of a team I guess they showed me. That’s cool … if they won then obviously they have some skills … still I would love to play any of them one on one and see what the outcome would be. Probably since I haven’t been playing much these days I would more than likely get my butt kicked. Congrats ladies … it’s about time some girl team won something big. Let’s see how far they go. I wish them the best.

yeah I agree this is good for the ladys lol Im tired of people calling console lovers nerds and geeks hell im far from that im all thug and it brought me into the market . Now hot chicks are in the market lol aint nothin like a fine ass chick that can frag your ass! lol a match made from heaven

Greenthumb I love your progressive attitude. Thumbs way up from me buddy. Now these guys who lost will have to realize they cannot take female gamers lightly at all. In fact all of dudes have to realize this. I remember there was a time my Mom of all people became so good at Soul Caliber II (and she was in her 50’s at the time mind you) … she rountinely dominated my butt using Mina. And she was the one who helped me Unlock everything in the game … I know it sounds unbelievable but it is true. Also one of my ex-GFs used to crush me with ease when we play Tennis on the Xbox. I couldn’t even come close to her level of play.
So yeah women are definitely just as good at gaming as guys. Its not so hard to believe when you consider this is not a physical activity … it’s all mental and having decently quick reflexes and women have shown they can excel in those areas.

While I think this is a PR stunt (no female gamers look that good

Jim2k you obviously haven’t heard of the amazing Halo 2 player named Xena who routinely kicks dudes butt that are actually good players … She is pretty amazing … the story should show up here soon but in the meantime check it out over at You Newb.com. I think I am pretty good but I wouldn’t want to play her on XBL. These days more and more women are getting into the gaming areas once occupied soley by us dudes.

They are just a marketing ploy. I’ve played several of them before and they were the worst players I’ve ever seen. If girls can play games, that’s fine, but having a bunch of super models in tight shirts solely to promote a brand…that’s just wrong.

lol thanks Anuban its all good I meant to respond to that comment but I lost the page on this thread. I do have to say maybe women just got fed up with us spendin so much time on a console. So they said if you cant beat em join em or beat they a** for not given you no romance lmfao . With a little practice anyway, I pretty sure any male is gonna get tired of gettin beat up or blow up …. whats next ? I bet they will take their women out more now . oh thats amazing about that lady thats good in halo, xena was the warrior princess that did kick a**. I know what that name she is no joke, you have to whup some a** to take that tittle.
