GT HD Brings PlayStation Network Down

December 24th, 2006 by Gibran Nawaz in Driving

hardware05.jpgAfter the recent early release of the free Gran Turisimo HD at the PlayStation Store, servers have been very busy and were forced to shut down. This is due to an overload of bandwidth on the network, having many people downloading the 1.3GB free game. Sony was obviously not prepared for this, and their customer service is merely saying that the network is busy. It’s unknown when the traffic will clear up. Don’t be surprised if you receive the error code 8002A280 when trying to access the PlayStation Store.
