Marc Ecko Isn’t Done
We all thought that Marc Ecko would be finished with the gaming industry after the graffiti tagging flop “Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure” game. But now, the famed fashion designer is telling MTV that he’s not done yet. Despite all of the reviews and terrible sales of his first game, he is now working on a new video game project with a different developer and publisher.
“A lot of stories got spoken a bit too early,” he said. “I won’t announce a title or content but I’ll announce the developer or publisher real soon. It’s exciting.”
Fortunately, the project is not a sequel. But it’s very doubtful that it will help the sales of this game. When Ecko had heard the word that his game received bad reviews from the critics, he leashed out on them, saying that they don’t know what they’re talking about. Another “gangsta” game, coming from an arrogant hip-hop white-guy who does fashion, how could that ever go wrong?

“Hop-Hop white guy” … so is this guy now the new Easter Bunny?
Seriously though … HE IS DONE … and he is old news … if my black brothers would just stop buying his garbage clothes and shoes he would dry up and blow away. Man do I ever detest this person. But maybe … and this is a HUGE maybe on a planetary scale … this game will actually be something that people can play … and God forbid actually enjoy.

:/
I was a fan of Getting Up. I also wear Ecko clothes. The game had a really good message for fellow graf artists.

Really, we need to drop the “White guy” and “Black brothers” crap. Helps no one.

Well he doesn’t help anyone that is for sure … definitely not black men who are still at the bottom of the pile when it comes to just about every aspect of THIS American society. Reality check man … it wasn’t anyone on this site that started the GREAT racial divide that exists within this country … or didn’t you watch CNNs special report on how bad things still are in America between white people and black people … especially black men. So this dude comes along and basically feeds off of a whole segment of undereducated folks of color and you expect an intelligent black man such as myself to let it slide. Sorry … no can do. Even intelligent white people can see he is totally taking advantage of others and has become a wannabe black person or worse yet just an opportunistic sleaze bag. Think before you talk please.

Let me further say it would be so amazingly nice and pleasant if we didn’t use ANY labels at all in America. Say for instance we just called all Americans just that … Americans … but we don’t and that is just a fact for whatever reason. So don’t get all high and mighty with US here at this site please. Talk to your local Congresspersons and other politicians and voice your strong feelings about using labels such as white, black, brown, redskin, etc. to stop dividing people in this “great” nation of ours.

what’s wrong with one of my white brothers selling hip hop clothes to hip hop fans? oh, because he’s white? that’s freaking racist. black folks should be honored us whiteys praise your culture enough to try to take part in it. get out of the business ecko, they don’t want you cause you’re not black.
