BioShock Coming To PS3 As Well

The previously PC and Xbox 360 exclusive BioShock is coming to the PlayStation 3 as well, according to magazine scans of the latest OPM issue. There was a time when game magazines had all the latest scoop, making them invaluable to any gamer. Then someone clever decided to scan the important stuff from magazines and publish it on the net. Who reads magazines these days anyway? Besides those who scan them, of course.

I think the term exclusive that either Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony at times use is a bit misplaced.
Point is is that exclusivity nowadays is a lot less than before. Where it used to be 2-3 years in the past, that has been reduced to less than a year’s time.
So whenever they say it’s an exclusive for their console, it’s only for a (small) amount of time. But of course there are exceptions (eg Nintendo games).

I haven’t read a magazine since I started reading game blogs a year ago. For reviews you go to sites like GameSpot, news it’s DigitalBattle, Joystiq etc. There is no place for monthly publications anymore, the Internet is the future.

I dont read magazines myself anymore, but I know there is a lot of stuff in a magazine that you wouldn’t take notice of on the internet.
Anyone notice the banana controller on that mag?

I still get paper-based publications. Internet sites are ok for the latest news in brief but magazines tend to go much more in-depth and are written to a much higher standard. They’re professionally put together so don’t contain any of the moronic grammar that dogs most internet-based alternatives. I’m looking at you, Joystiq. They also don’t post bullshit headlines just to increase traffic. I’m looking at you again, Joystiq.

Turns out that was an older issue of that mag and that it is just a rumor … if you go to the official website for Bioshock there is NO mention of it … and all the latest threads on most sites confirm that for now at least the title will only be a PC and 360 title. Here is a quote:
