Silent Hill 2 Confirmed
January 3rd, 2007 by Gibran Nawaz in News
We previously had reported a rumor that a Silent Hill movie sequel was in the works, but it was unconfirmed at the time. Now, director Christophe Gans has confirmed it himself that the movie is “well underway.” However, writer Neil Gaiman is unsure if he will be involved in the project, as he writes on his personal blog:
“Yesterday I discovered pretty much all of my FAQ messages were people asking whether I was really going to be writing the Silent Hill sequel with Roger Avary. I’m afraid that I don’t think I am–I mean, it’s the first thing I’ve ever heard of it, and I’m sure that if they make a sequel Roger would want to write it himself.”
Besides Silent Hill, Roger Avery wrote Pulp Fiction, which he received an Oscar for alongside Quentin Tarantino. He will most likely write Silent Hill 2, after completing his adaptation of Driver.

The first one wasn’t that good, just another generic horror flick. I’ll probably rent the sequel, as I did with the first one.

Hopefully this sequel will be even better than the first one … maybe they’ll remake the game for the next gen consoles and people who didn’t play the old one. Would be nice to play it on the 360.

[...] Fans of video game adaptations (and you must be out there, because someone always goes to see them) will be happy to learn that a Silent Hill 2 is in the works. [...]

SILENT HILL AND ONIMUSHA.
I enjoyed watching Silent Hill on DVD and it is a good idea to do a sequel and Christophe Gans should direct Silent Hill 2.Gans is also working on Onimusha and the plot will follow up to the first game that is the start
of the movie series.
Silent Hill screenwriter is working on Driver which it is another video game movie adaptation which is going to be good or not.
Street Fighter movie will be a remake and Mortal Kombat
movie maker Larry Kasanoff would do Darkstalkers series.
Thank You.

In my opinion, the Silent Hill movie is a lot more pleasing to the Silent Hill gamers than the Resident Evil movies are to the RE gamers. I play both, and I’m a lot happier with the direction of the SH films.
