In this interview, Supreme Commander creator Chris Taylor explains just how revolutionary an RTS game this will be. He even mentions the use of dual-displays for better tactical overview of the strategy map, and he explains the three playable factions. A great video if you haven’t heard of this game before, because it could be one of the best this year, and one of the greatest strategy games ever made.

2Dual displays … how about just a good WS monitor? But in any event this is the one RTS game I feel will make me get into this genre finally … then there is Halo Wars of course. Man gaming is getting more and more expensive on the PCs … I may wait until this comes out on the 360 and just rely on my Big HDTV to give me enough of a tactical overview of the strategy map to play this on. Hopefully the frame rates won’t suck on the 360 version like they did for the LOTR:BFME RTS game I tried to get into … I played three levels/chapters of that game and it was pretty cool but the horrible frame rates drove me crazy so I had to trade it in. I thought that would be the RTS that made me get into the genre but sadly it wasn’t.

3This is being done by the same developers of Total Annihilation, which was the best RTS ever, Ive played the beta and its enormous in its scope… youd better have a good system to play it on though.
When you look at it in detail (LUA scripting, Dual head SLI for example)it is obvious it will only ever be on the PC due to the technology being used.

5Maybe I am incorrect about the 360 thing afterall but I could have sworn I read it somewhere. Maybe I am getting it confused with C&C though. But still I would think a game this big would come to the 360 and/or the PS3 at some point in the future. Hmmm.

6Well the people who made Total Annihilation actually went under and were bought out by another company, thus becoming Atari. But yes I do agree that this game is gonna kick some serious redneck hillbilly ass. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7Yes, but they all left the company immediately after TA and CC, and the company went under AFTER they tried to produce another RTS by the name of TA:K, without the help of those who worked on TA.
