Second Life Source Code Released

The Official Linden blog announces that they have released the Second Life Grid source code under the guidelines of the GNU GPL Version 2. This move effectively allows anyone to download, inspect, compile, modify and usethe code for their own use or to help the development of the MMOG.
As described in the post, Second Life is a globally interconnected grid of clients and servers managed by various groups. This move was taken by the company to further the vision and space of their massive project.
