I just can’t agree with that Alex … it looks like it is going to be a great service to me. Much like XBL marketplace is a fantastic service … giving people the ability to download all kinds of great content. And really who is to say how much they will charge. Their console for example is a lot cheaper than Sony’s and is doing much better and has tons of games for it and Sony is even losing exclusive titles to it as developers see where the real money making opporotunities are. But to each his own I suppose … I just personally think this is going to be a great thing if it is affordable for the average person. It can’t cost much more than regular cable service and people seem to have come to grips with those prices.

Whatever this is, be sure that they’re charge you as much as they can for it. You’re already paying Xbox Live Gold to just play games online, MS ios gonna suck out even more from you with this stuff.

BTW MacWorld starts up tomorrow and they will also be showcasing some MacTV service which lets you play downloaded movies on your Mac on your TV. Someone may want to report on that as well.

I know that if it affordable I will at least give it a try as it looks pretty exciting and really slick. And Bill Gates has nothing to do what what you watch. It is a partnership with existing cable companies who already decide what you watch and how much it costs.
