Dell Reveals The XPS 710 H2C Gaming Rig
January 9th, 2007 Posted in Gear, Hardware, PC, Technology
Dell’s XPS series are some of the most powerful (and expensive) gaming computers around. The newly introduced XPS 710 H2C “Black Edition” is loaded with state of the art hardware, including Dell’s new water-cooling system “H2C”, keeping the system very cool and almost completely silent. The beast is powered by an overclocked Intel QX6700 quad-core CPU, running at 3,2 GHz, 4 GB DDR2 RAM, dual NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX graphics cards, and two 10k RPM 160 GB hard drives. Pretty much the best hardware you can find anywhere. Furthermore, Dell includes a set of speakers and their new 22″ widescreen LCD monitor, all for a mere $5,500.

I must have this system … I will find a way … must resort to a life a crime I guess.
Really though Dell is definitely benefiting from the Alien acquisition … this is a very impressive system indeed and I just wish I had the dough to get it. Man it makes me so damn crazy with hunger!! I WANT IT!!!

Anuban, you can save at least a grand by buying the parts and building it yourself. Although that’s probably the coolest case you can’t buy separately

I know but still I like the convenience and the fact that if anything at all goes wrong with the system I only need to call ONE number.

True, but I still like to build my own rig, mostly because of the price, but also because “it’s something I built”
And I have built my last three computers, on no occasion has more than one part failed (usually the hard drive or graphics card).

I have built my last two and done the upgrades but now I just want the simple convenience of a pre-built ready to go PC with a warranty that lasts at least a year of coverage … but of course I see the pride factor in what you are saying.

And for that price I could build two with the exact same hardware…

the time it takes me to buy and put all these parts together I can easly earn 2000 so why not let someone else do it for me… ;p
