And MS continues to forge ahead with great content and great games coming and more innovative things like IPTV. Plus hopefully a new 360 with the HDMI and larger HD. Sony is really going to need to do something to slow them down and make up some ground and again the only real thing they can do is offer a price break and really make their games standout above the 360 (which everyone agrees has yet to happen) … if that is possible (it would seem that it would be to be honest given the cell’s 6 available cores but if the complexity of developing for this monster is not resolved then they can forget that as well since software is what makes or breaks hardware). But for now MS clearer rules this next-gen war. Who can say what the future will hold … especially with Halo 3 coming, formerly exclusive PS3 titles hitting the 360 in the next 12-18 months, and next year (2008) an even better Gears of War.

Doesn’t matter where the info comes from … I don’t see anyone at all disputing it. MS is on top and Nintendo is right behind them. And MS is doing even bigger and better things for this year and the early part of next year. No matter who says what imho there is just no match for the Wii60 combo.

“MS is on top and Nintendo is right behind them.”
more fanboy rhetoric.

Not rhetoric just the truth according to EVERY reliable source available … you need to learn to accept the truth and just keep hoping for the best down the line. You keep forgetting I also want to own a PS3 at one point because more than anything I am a gamer who wants the best/most fun games at a reasonable price. I am just waiting for this amazing turn around to come like anyone else. Only thing is I accept the present for what it is … NOW. It really is that simple. I am looking forward to God of War 3 on the PS3 so hopefully by then the devs will know how to take advantage of all that power and the price will drop down to a more reasonable price point.
Wii60 rules all … atm that is for sure.

Anuban forget it, there’s not way you can put some reason into the heads of those two.. it’s like religion.

If anyone around here is a zealot it is you. And you know it. How can you keep arguing with facts? If and when Sony starts to eclipse the sales of the Wii I will be the first to say “okay good for Sony … they are finally getting this whole next-gen thing right” … but until that time what else can be said but they are trailing behind and will continue to do so unless they change their strategy and get serious about coming up with tools to help developers get the most out of what is clearly a better CPU. I just want to see the difference in quality and I am not seeing it at all. No one is … yet anyway.

Great comeback … I would have expected better from you since I am trying to debate you in a mature fashion … and what exactly am I mirroring pray tell? The things EVERYONE can see from a logical standpoint? You’ll have to do better than that … and don’t revert to type either … stay mature and on topic please.

Okay … I made an attempt now I can see there is no point trying to communicate with you. It is pointless and senseless since you can never seem to come to grips with reality and let go of whatever animosity it is you have …

I think the 360 will do better after they roll out their 65nm chips. It is supposed to reduce their productions costs, which could mean the price may be cut around that time.
January 11th, 2007 at 6:33 pm
I’m more interested in a stable 360 than a price drop.
While the PS3 uses tandard components and is quiet as hell, the 360 is filled with “MS certified” crap, from the very hot CPU for the power brick to the damn noisy dvd drive.
We need a completely re-engineered 360.
January 11th, 2007 at 6:42 pm
I agree, it does sound similiar to that of a jet-engine, and until even the new ones are stable I wouldn’t consider buying one, but I’m just saying that with a price cut it may be more appealing to consumers.
January 11th, 2007 at 10:43 pm
A price cut would interest me since I don’t have a problem with the engineering quality personally. As I have always said my launch 360 has performed just fine and I don’t have a problem with the noise at all … when I am playing games I have my 5.1 SS system cranked up anyway so I never hear any of this noise people are always complaining about and I have never had an overheating issue where the console cut off on me even after playing it 8-9 hours straight at times. But if it will make people feel better then that is cool. MS is always working to improve quality as far as I can tell and the new 65nm chips should make more people happy.

i am a 360 fan i wanted a ps3 at first but its was 200 more than the 360 so i compared and im like why buy a ps3 when the 360 has better games that we KNOW are coming out god of war 3 there is nothing said at all about that games and has better online gaming.hey what are 65nm chips?
