wiijapanstore.jpgAccording to Japan’s Enterbrain, as of January 6, the Wii has sold 1,135,671 units in Japan. In 2006, the Wii sold almost 990,000, while the PS3 sold 467,000 units, despite launching several weeks before the Wii (Wii launched on December 2). The PS3 would most certainly have sold a lot more if there were enough units. The Xbox 360 sold around 290,000 through the end of the year, a decent figure considering it’s never been the most popular console in the land of the rising sun.
