What could be the most unpopular product among gamers, the PCGamerBike wants you to actually pedal in the direction you want to go when playing a game. Say you want your car to move forwards, you pedal forwards and so on. To steer you use handlebars on your sides. How “innovative”.

I’ve seen these sort of products before, apparently these “inventors” don’t understand anything about working (playing games) and excersising at the same time.

Bah … I wouldn’t get one of these crappy products … yes it is crappy imo … for any amount of money … if someone gave me one I would sell it for whatever I could get … even if it was just a dinner at some hole in the wall diner. I exercise when I want to and play games when I want to … never the two shall mix … except of course when I am gaming with my Wii.

Anuban; I guess you either are not keen on exercise or not keen on playing games. Surely if you exercise then this bike/game combination could make the experience more interesting. Having force feedback in games controllers adds a little more realism to a game so why not use other parts of your body interactively with a game to add even more reality?

Paul: Can you imagine yourself exersize while playing a game, sweating, tired and all? To exercise correctly requires concerntration and dedication, you can’s do that BY SITTING DOWN!
This is just a lame product from companies who think “KIDS LIKE GAMES” “KIDS ARE FAT”. = KIDS CAN PLAY GAMES AND LOSE WEIGHT”
How genuius…

ian wright had a fatty program in england, one of the kids was really really fat and lazy and had a ps2. so he was only allowed to play it while on a bike since the ps2 was being powered only by the bike, like a dynamo.

@Paul:
I am more than into exercise as I work out at least 4 times a week and I am in great shape (if I do say so myself) being a Martial arts practioneer for some 20 years now and promoter of the South Beach Diet. I just don’t see this product being of any use. It is just my personal opinion that gaming and stuff like this don’t go together … which is the Wii is great because the way it combines actvity and gaming is a much better use technology and fitness imo. But I could be wrong … we shall see how the sales for this do and how many stories of people losing real weight and really improving their health come out. I just don’t see it happening to be honest.

This things crazy looking! I would rather just jog around the lake here everyday. Only about 10k, but in winter it can be treacherous, so you get an extra workout on ice. But it prepares me for Snowboarding in winter, Rock Climbing in in Spring and Jet Skiing in Winter! I got a deal with the resort to keep my jet ski at the docks. So that’s only about 200 yds from my house for jet skiing.
Diet? What’s that? I just eat and with all the exercise just living here I stay in great shape. No boat style jet ski either. Stand up! Rock Climbing is fantastic exercise especially doing overhang. I mainly do free climb. But occasionally go to the climbing gym in town to do tournaments.
This is one sport where you can be beat by a girl cuz their bodies are built for this stuff. Pretty funny hanging my 200 lbs up a face of a rock and look back down and see some 100+ lb girl belaying for me. Only rarely do you see them pop off the ground though! LOL But you do see their eyes pop out, when their feet leave the ground for a second. But because of the system of ropes pulley effect, I know I pretty safe down to about a kid belaying of 80 lbs.
Another way I get exercise is we have all kinds of wild animals here including bear and moose. Last fall, while walking at night, which is a fool thing to do with cow moose hungry and a yearling cafe tagging along. Couldn’t see, told my girlfriend to get behind a big tree w/bunch noise and commotion going on, Then I stepped off the road and tumbled down a 20′ enbankment 15 ” from the cow moose. Not a pretty site that ugly face looking down at you. I foolishly thought I could bark like a dog and scare this 1000 lb mom away. She put her ears back and came at me there on the ground. Thought I was dead and I just layed there. She sniff me grunted and walked away! That was some scary sh*t. Almost pissed my pants.
So that’s the only time I’d wish I had that machine to exercise with!!!! LOL whew….

whoops jet skiing in summer. But some fools take motrocyles out on the ice and do wheelies and tricks. I’ll save that kinda stuff for Jet Skiing. LOL
